    Methodist Hospital Foundation Marketing Case Study

    Our biggest event to date, Elevate My Brand was honored to collaborate with Teri Kinne Events to produce the 25th Anniversary Gala for Methodist Hospital Foundation. An annual black tie evening taking place at the Pasadena Convention Center, the 2014 “Crystal Ball Gala” had almost 1,000 medical professionals, donors, supporters and sponsors in attendance, and raised over $1,000,000 in support for the hospital. By bringing some successful, new fundraising initiatives and ideas to last year’s event, we were able to greatly increase the amount of funds donated to the hospital. We also worked with this wonderful organization again in 2015 to host an even bigger and better gala. 

    Event Details

    To anyone who has ever hosted a party, organized a nonprofit fundraiser or even just attended an out-of-town conference, you know that when it comes to events, it all depends on the details, which is where EMB excels. From running committee meetings to discussing décor, invitations and sponsorship, to overseeing the relationships with floral, music, celebrity, hotel, and all other vendors, EMB worked in collaboration with Teri Kinne Events and the Crystal Ball Committee to guarantee a stellar event from start to finish. 

    In order to produce a gala of this scale, which has become one of the “It” events in Pasadena, Elevate My Brand managed a team of over 100 for a 3-day load-in and day-of event production to ensure that every guest felt the red carpet experience. Pre-production included organizing all décor concepts, hosting a VIP meet and greet with celebrity guest and performer, Paul Anka, publicizing the event in all Los Angeles, Pasadena and Glendale news calendars, and coordinating with all teams, including:

    • Silent and Live Auction
    • Registration
    • Volunteers
    • Catering
    • Venue
    • Hotel Accommodations
    • Photographers
    • Bar
    • Sponsors 


    By integrating a new digital registration and silent auction system, as well as bringing some new life to a live auction and paddle raise, we are proud to say that the organization raised over $1,000,000 for the hospital. Proceeds from the event provided resources for new medical technology, first-rate hospital facilities and high-quality, personal health care services, as well as supported extensive outreach programs benefitting the local community.  With over 60 amazing silent and live auction prize packages to win including VIP golf outings, private jets to Vegas, Mexican resort vacations and even a personalized piece sung by performer Paul Anka, the results for day of fundraising were remarkable, resulting in:

    • 121% increase in onsite fundraising from the 2014 to 2013 Anniversary gala
    • Over $300,000 raised from the silent and live auctions and paddle raise
    • $80,000 in ticket sales
    • Over $30,000 in program ad sales
    • Over $650,000 in sponsorship
