Let's Be Partners: Outsourcing Your Resources
As our Director of Operations' favorite group so eloquently said, 'I get by with a little help from my friends", we all need a little help sometimes! Help can come in many forms, and for an industry like ours, it typically comes in the form of partnerships or collaboration. Receiving help is not the worst thing in the world, although admitting you might need help might feel like it is. Collaboration is a key tool used by every creative and many industries who wish to succeed. Two heads are better than one and there is nothing wrong with that. How do we collaborate?
As a full-service marketing agency, we have been asked by some of our clients (with internal marketing departments) to help them with certain projects. Why? Because we have the resources, the time, the ability, and the creative drive to get it done. Once you get out of school, group projects get a lot better, right? Sometimes, companies with internal marketing departments have too many projects going on at one time and they seek our help. Asking for help is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding things you can do, especially in marketing. If you want to know a key part of this industry, then you should know a selling point is face value. Image is everything. If you want the product, party, company, or service to sell, it is crucial that it appeals to the consumer. Having all hands on deck (even ones that are not your own) can help you sell the product. At the end of the day, sales are the driving factor that keeps the business growing.
Working with other companies on projects also has its benefits. Cross-promotion is one of the best ways to market without having to do a whole lot of anything. It’s essentially free marketing. Okay, so maybe not free, but it’s a great way to spread your brand’s name distances unreachable through normal means. All in all, make sure to ask for help if you need it. There is nothing wrong with admitting you need help.
