Women Who Inspire Us on International Women's Day 2020

For International Women's Day, we want to share with our clients, our family and our friends the women who inspire us most. Each of us in the office chose one woman (how do you choose only one???) and wrote about why she's so inspirational. Let us know on social who most inspires you!

Rachel Hollis

Biana Lerman's choice

The woman I admire most right now is Rachel Hollis. She's the definition of "figure it out and get it done." With a high school degree and the information she found on the internet, she has grown a multi-million dollar media empire that helps women find their passion and rediscover their life purpose. She's never one to back down from a challenge and pushes herself past her comfort zone regularly to achieve her goals while also inspiring other women to do the same.

Meghan Markle

Carly Steinberg's choice

My inspirational woman is Meghan Markle. She inspires me because she stands up for what she believes in, regardless of societal pressures. When she was just 11 years old, she saw a sexist ad and wrote a letter to the company, and because of her letter, the company changed their slogan. Now she uses her voice to inspire larger change in the world.

Pauli Murray

Cody H. Owens' choice

One of the world's most inspirational women was Pauli Murray. Among other things, she was a lawyer, a priest, a poet, an author and an activist who was behind many of the most important social and civil rights moments in U.S. history. Pauli overcame impossible odds and institutional injustice to ensure a more equitable planet for us all, and she 100% deserves a more prominent place in our collective memory.

My Grandmother, Mother and Sister

There are three women who inspire me most.

1. My grandmother who recently passed would have given anyone the shirt off her back and taught me compassion.
2. My mother who has been a teacher for 50 years taught me the importance of education and social responsibility.
3. My sister who taught me a lust for life and music that is unparalleled.
