EMBiz: 2026 Trends For Skin & Beauty Marketing
Hi everyone, I'm Laurel Minns, founder and CEO of Elevate My Brand, and this is EMBiz. Today, we're going to talk a little bit about 2026 trends for beauty and skin care. As you know, I'm super into both.
AI and AR
The key conversation around 2026, beauty and skin is all around and AI and AR. Obviously, lots of content creators are concerned about what AI is going to mean for how they develop content into 2026. But our sentiment and feeling at Elevate is that it's not quite there yet. But we need to stay on top of the trends.
Influencer & Affiliate Marketing
Influencer affiliates have always been a thing, but it's going to be more so now than ever before. Making sure that we folks are really brands are really understanding the sell-through from the affiliate partnerships with influencers. It's not just wild wild west influencer for influencers' sake anymore.
Diversity & Inclusion
There's going to be a lot more diversity and inclusion in terms of beauty and skin care. We're seeing this even in the big box retailers that have gotten a lot of pushback because the truth is is that those are the consumers, those are the folks that have the dollars, we are the folks that have the dollars and to be spending in the category.
Biohacking
I love the beauty from within conversation. There are a lot of conversations that have been going on about biohacking longevity. As you may know, on the other side of our company, we invest in a lot of those kinds of companies, but there are a lot of nutraceuticals and nutrient consumables. So, beauty from the inside out, I truly believe that that starts with hydration. I know Twiz does too.
Personalized Cosmetics
You've heard a lot about personalized cosmetics, or you've heard a lot about personalization, I should say, as it relates to marketing and messaging and that trend. But now we're actually seeing it trickle down into the actual products and services. Specifically, what I would really like to see or what we've really been interested in seeing are the cosmetics that change tone color when you put them on your skin. So, that's an idea or a concept that you could probably relate to in terms of personalized skincare or makeup. And this one's really interesting. We've got a couple of brands we've been working with in this category.
Beauty For Men
But the last one is that there is a demand, an uptick in demand, and we think this will continue into 2026 for male beauty products. Now, this could be color cosmetics, because we have a lot of kind of crossover in the two categories. But this is obviously also very clearly in men's skin care. And don't tell Mike Mintz I told you this, but we're seeing it in this house as well. So I think that we tend to see a lot of these different trends starting in 2025 that will continue into 2026.
