For those of you who have been watching, we’ve expanded our team. We are excited and blessed to move into a new office space and get a great new team onboard.
It’s really important on how to motivate your team. There are so many different theories out there, “the fear theory” is one that we definitely do not associate with. We really like positive reinforcement. It’s really important to make sure that you are reinforcing good habits. And yes, you need to have the conversation about things that are going wrong from time to time, but making sure that you are doing it in a way that’s constructive and not critical so that there is a learning process going on and there’s no animosity being built between the parties. So, if someone does something wrong, you sit them down and talk about how they could have done it better, what mistakes were made, and how we can evolve to make sure that we are all working collectively for the same goal. Cause at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about: making sure that you have a strong team and that everyone is working towards the same goal, which is to make your brand successful.
So make sure that you are motivating your team! I like to give presents from time to time. I think it’s a nice pick-me-up to do for people who are working for your organization and really working hard. Because, after all, without the team, you’re just one person and it’s really challenging to build a multimillion dollar business with just one person. Make sure that you say “thank you,” that you give them gifts from time to time, and make sure that your team feels like they are extremely valuable because without them, you can’t do what you do.
