Looking Ahead: 2017 Goals for EMB

Looking Ahead: 2017 Goals for EMB

It's hard to believe that January will be over in just over a week, we just got done cleaning up the NYE glitter off the floor...2017 is off to an interesting start and we're hopeful for how it's going to progress (today's activities aside). In the spirit of 'New year, new you' we've collected some major goals and highlights from the EMB team to share.

Laurel Mintz, CEO, Founder, and our leader of the pack:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): One large speaking engagement/month - to get in front of more qualified leads, gain balance/happiness, and to increase conversion/close ratio.

A few things you are looking forward to this year: Attending a year high school reunion (gross), moving into a new office , finishing our house.

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): Joule!

Allie Yaldezian, Operations Director and the glue to our office:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): Seeing our clients perform in a big way – ie. Billboards, commercials, etc. (This has already come true, so I would say that 2017 is off to an excellent start.)

A few things you are looking forward to this year: Looking forward to transitioning into my Director Operations role, as well as exploring some new cities both in and outside the country this year. Austin, Tulum and Tahoe, here I come!

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): Favorite holiday gift? Here comes my inner nerd – the complete set of Harry Potter DVDs. Alongside with my full collectors edition of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, I’m ready for some ultra-movie marathons this year.

Jennifer Odiko-Rhea, Account Manager, the first EMB Momma, and office DJ:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): My goal is to make sure everything I do or don’t do is on purpose. No more going with the flow. I want to be more deliberate about the way I spend my time personally and professionally. I look forward to experiencing the client and revenue growth of EMB which will ultimately lead to growth of the team. Also looking forward to our new digs. I look forward to my husband and I growing professionally so we can start saving for our first home.

A few things you are looking forward to this year: Looking forward to my family reunion in May in Chicago as well as watching PJ grow and celebrating his first birthday in September.

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): Favorite gift this year was my pedicure foot spa!

Alanah Taylor, Account Manager, globe trotter, and the EMB energizer bunny:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): A professional goal of mine is to always hold myself accountable to my own knowledge and continuing the learning process by always asking questions, listening, and discovering the world around us.

A personal goal of mine is to always make time for new adventures. By taking new adventures and meeting new people will always open your mind and heart to new things.

A few things you are looking forward to this year: Looking forward to the innovative companies that we're working with, and the continuous growth and creative strategies we have developed for them

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): My Harry Potter blanket, I used the ISH out of that blanket!

Jennae Peoples, Executive Assistant and newest EMB member:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): Personal goals: Develop myself into the best version of me…mind, body & soul, continue to maintain and grow close relationships with my close family & friends. Learn how to let go of the past… Learn to forgive myself and others as I continue to grow in my journey. Move from my current residence and get my financials “healthy”.

Business Goals:

To develop myself to become whatever’s necessary for the next steps in my career, to get ahead of my workload to put myself in a position to counter or anticipate things before they happen, to create a streamlined system that allows me to be more efficient with my time, and to learn something new every single day.

A few things you are looking forward to this year: LOL – Having a baby (wow wasn’t expecting to say that in 2017), other than that my life is quite boring/uneventful.

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): Absolute fave was watching the smiles on my boys faces as they opened all of their gifts (spoiled asses), a close second was my wonderful Ninja from Olivia.

Elisa Vazquez, Social Media Manager, office cat lady, and biggest fan of the Internets:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): To run my very first marathon, to travel more (weekend trips and see my sorority sisters across the country, and to do more things that scare me (skydiving round 3).

A few things you are looking forward to this year: Celebrating big milestones with my family such as my parents 30th anniversary and my sister's graduation from my dear Alma Mater Luther, wine country in the summer (does it ever get old?), and being a yoga brand ambassador.

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): The best gift I could ever have received was that my whole family was able to be together for the holiday season this year, a first since my childhood.

Olivia Shapiro, Intern, resident blogger, and the office Valley Girl:

A few goals for the year (personal or business): Personal/business goals for the year are to find a lesson in everything that I do. Find my individuality, but also learn how to work with others in a more collaborative way. Getting out of a serious relationship had led me to realize that I need to be more of an individual. This can be said to mean not being dependent on anyone or anything, especially for validation.

A few things you are looking forward to this year: This year I look forward to: being single, going to New York by myself, graduating college, and hopefully going on a girl's trip to Costa RIca when school is over to celebrate my graduation.

Your favorite holiday gift (that you received or gave): The last gift I gave that I was most happy to give was a 1931 map of Los Angeles that I gave to my dad for Christmas.
